Sony P41 Backlight Doesn't Work This is how I resolved certain camera issues. User assumes all responsibility and risk

Problem: Backlight doesn't work cannot read what's on the LCD. Verification: Turn Camera on, Screen is very dark but if held under a light you can see that the LCD is working. Possible Cause: Dead fuse. Location: The fuse is circled in yellow
Click image for a larger view Possible Solution: Use a tweezers and touch each side of the fuse Don't touch any other components!!! Turn on the camera if Backlight works then follow the next step Take caution not to over heat and damage the PCB or nearby components. Cover area with tape. With batteries OUT, You can solder a piece of wire over the fuse .
