Sony DSC-S600 3-Wire Hack to Ribbon Cable This is an optional hack vs. soldering to the switches. It is more common to solder to the switches, however I'm putting this out there as another option. This is how I modified my cameras. User assumes all responsibility and risk and is reminded performing any camera modifications will most likely void all manufacture warranties. |

Supplies: 30awg wire, Fine tip solder iron and a steady hand Process: Use the landmarks of the below picture to locate the "Power/Refresh" and "Shutter" pins as this is where you will solder your wires to. Then I tined the 30awg wire and soldered each into place as shown in the below picture. Common/Ground is found at the USB connection same as the preferred hack from Hags House.
Wrap Up: I then secured the soldered wires to the ribbon cable with some liquid electrical tape and run to the jack of your choice. |
